Grow Groups – Fall 2021

#9 – Romans – In the Grip of Grace – Group Leader: Cindy Verhaeghe

Description:  This Max Lucado study DVD study illuminates one of the richest theological works ever penned, the book of Romans.  The core idea of Romans is that we are saved by grace, through faith.

#10 – Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table – Group Leader: MaDonna Kelley

Description:  Find freedom when you let Jesus lead the battle for your heart!  Scripture makes it clear that Satan will do anything to tempt you into poor decisions and self-defeating mindsets – including anxiety, rage, lust, and despair.  But by examining Psalm 23 in fresh ways, this Louis Giglio book helps you reject enemy voices and receive encouragement, hope and strength.

#11 – Men’s Sunday School – Group Leader: Keith Wolfgram

Description:  A study of the book of 1 Corinthians intending to focus on relationships within family and peers that our men need to know and understand.

Times:  Sundays – 9:45-10:45 AM – Sep 8 – Nov 24 – Men’s Classroom

#12 – Youth Sunday School – Group Leader: Laurie Graves

Description:  A series of individual lessons that focus on the topics that teens need to know about in order to develop their faith during their teen years.

Times:  Sundays – 9:45-10:45 AM – Sep 12 – Nov 28 – Room 109

#13 – Disciple 1– Group Leader: Rich Moreland

Description:  Level one Bible Study class to guide people into a deeper understanding of the Bible.  Deep emersion into the scriptures and study is a part of being involved in this class.

Times:  Mondays at 6:30 PM in Room 105 – September 13 – May

#14 – Disciple 3– Group Leader: Al & Cindy Verhaeghe

Description:  Level three Bible Study class to guide people into a deeper understanding of the Bible.  Deep emersion into the scriptures and study is a part of being involved in this class.

Times:  Mondays at 6:30 PM online class via Zoom

#15 – Disciple 4– Group Leader: Lucinda Brier

Description:  Level four Bible Study class to guide people into a deeper understanding of the Bible.  Deep emersion into the scriptures and study is a part of being involved in this class.

Times:  Mondays at 10:00 AM in Room 105 – September 13 – May

#16 – Keep It Shut – Group Leader: Kim Edwards

Description:  Got words?  Oh yeah, you do!  The average woman speaks over 20,000 a day – not to mention the ones she types online.  Author Karen Ehman – a woman whose words have often landed her in a heap of trouble – shares from experience the hows (and how-not-tos) of dealing with the tongue.

Times:  Mondays- 6:30-8:00 PM – October 11-November 11 – Room 103

#17 – Digging Deeper – Revelation – Group Leader: Pastor Dan Bowman

Description:  In depth study of the previous week’s sermon.  Focused on the Book of Revelation.  We will be looking at each of the seven churches found in Chapters 2 and 3.

Times:  Wednesdays– 11:00am-12:00pm – Sep 8 – Nov 17 – Prayer Room

#18– Discerning the Voice of God Carolyn Landis

Description:  Discovering the root to clear and daily communication with God – humble obedience.  Learn how surrender unlocks many blessings intended for us, centers us in His will, and helps us discern His voice in

everyday life.

Times:  Wednesdays – 6:00-7:30 PM – Oct 13 – Nov 17 Room 105

#19 – Prayer Group Class– Group Leader: Lee Sayer

Description:  No matter how a person prays, casually, formally, or

intercessory, the word “pray” is found at least 121 times in the Bible.  So, God must actually want this communication with us.  Come and participate with us to learn prayer types, the joyful power and blessings communicating with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit gives to all.

Times:  Wednesdays – 6:00-7:30 PM – Oct 13 – Nov 17 Room 101/103

#20 – Digging Deeper – Hebrews – Group Leader: Pastor Dan

Description:  The Book of Hebrews is known as the general epistle that was written primarily to a Jewish audience and introduces the evidence of Jesus as Messiah in a way the Jewish Christians could relate.  It also speaks powerfully to Gentiles in offering the evidence of the superiority of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sin of the world.

Times:  Wednesdays – 6:00-7:30 PM – Oct 13 – Nov 17 Sanctuary

#21 – Meant for Good – Group Leader: Elizabeth Elsesser

Description:  The most underlined verse in the Bible, Jeremiah 29:11, says that God has a good plan for you – a plan to give you hope and a future.  Are you ready to believe it?  Do you think you can really trust God’s plan for your life – no matter what your life looks like right now?  Dynamic Bible teacher Megan Fate Marshman will help reveal in this beloved passage of Scripture how to trust God’s definition of good in your daily life.
